Tate Modern
The Tate Modern
extension has been
carried out by the Swiss
architects Herzog & de
Meuron, who in 2000
also transformed the
old Bankside Power
Station into the main
venue of the museum.

The 2012 Olympic Games
were planned to meet
sustainability goals, so
many facilities built for the
event were dismountable
and others reusable, like
the tower by Anish Kapoor
or the Olympic Stadium
by Populous.
Tucked into the dense
urban tissue of the
center of London, this
faceted volume of brick,
built by Irish architects
O’Donnell & Tuomey,
is the newest Student
Centre of the London
School of Economics.
