While both places are so far in distance and essence, they share a
special relationship with light. The selection and placement of the
elements in this single-family dwelling allows light to circulate free of
obstacles and to bathe every corner of Laaksolahti.
“We’ve chosen clear furniture with simple lines so that the light
can move easily and the spaces are not blocked,” explains Olavi
Kujanen. This way, the 142 square meters open on to some peaceful
surroundings through large windows, straight lines and an effective
discourse that fuses modernity with luxury.
The interior of Laaksolahti, as explained by its designer, Piia
Kalliomäki, is a space drawn with “high-quality, classic materials and
natural colors. The furniture, the textile pieces and the artwork Olavi
has collected on her travels really stand out against this background.”
The Kontio team had already worked with Dekton on earlier projects.
That’s why they only found it natural that the Cosentino quartz
surface, along with Silestone, be a highly important part of its
architect’s home.

comparten una relación especial con la luz. La elección y situación
de los elementos de esta vivienda unifamiliar permite que esta circule
libre de obstáculos y bañe cualquier rincón de Laaksolahti.
"Hemos considerado un mobiliario claro y despejado para que la luz
pueda pasar bien y los espacios no queden bloqueados" , explica Olavi
Kujanen. Así, los 142 m2 de extensión se abren a un entorno apacible a
través de grandes ventanales, líneas rectas y un efectivo discurso que
fusiona modernidad y lujo.
El interior de Laaksolahti es, como explica la diseñadora responsable
de su interior Piia Kalliomäki, un espacio dibujado con "materiales
clásicos, de alta calidad y colores naturales. Los muebles, las piezas
textiles y las de arte traídas de los viajes de Olavi destacan con este
fondo".
El equipo de Kontio ya había trabajado con Dekton en proyectos
anteriores. Por eso, les resultaba natural que la superficie de cuarzo
de Cosentino formase parte, junto con Silestone, de la vivienda de su
arquitecto y cabeza visible.
