influences he picked up at
the Académie Royale des
Beaux-Arts of Brussels,
where he coincided
with Victor Horta.

horizontal form.
Situated at Dizengoff
Circle and designed in
1939 by the architect

to house one of the
city’s first cinemas, the
Bauhaus-style building
has been renovated and
turned into a hotel.
