Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
La carrera de los hermanos Ronan (1971)
y Erwan Bouroullec (1976) no ha dejado
de crecer desde sus comienzos: en 1997 les
descubre el diseñador italiano Cappellini
y, después de trabajar con la Galería Kreo,
Issey Miyake o con Rolf Felhbaum, Presi-
dente de Vitra, importantes marcas como
Alessi, Hansgrohe o Samsung comienzan a
solicitar sus diseños. Pese a ello mantienen
su estudio con apenas seis colaboradores con
los que desarrollan trabajos heterogéneos,
desde pequeñas joyas hasta intervenciones
a escala arquitectónica: de lo más artesano a
lo más industrializado. Su nota de color, ori-
ginalidad e inventiva firma sus creaciones.
The career of brothers Ronan (1971) and
Erwan (1976) Bouroullec gained renown
steadily from its early stages. Italian
designer Cappellini discovered them in 1997,
and after working with Galerie Kreo, Issey
Miyake, or Rolf Fehlbaum (Vitra Chairman),
prominent firms like Alessi, Hansgrohe, or
Samsung started commissioning designs
from them. Despite this they keep running
their studio of around six collaborators,
developing a variety of works, from jewelry
to larger architectural interventions. In
either small pieces of craftsmanship or
industrialized works, color, originality, and
inventiveness are their signature features.
