What has changed in your life, professionally or privately,
in recent years?
“The conditions in which we produce architecture have changed
dramatically. The classic ofce and the commercial property
sector in particular are experiencing a crisis in terms of funding
and letting, but other projects are also struggling. We are facing
a necessary transformation of the property market. At the end
of the day, concepts will prevail – like that of the Hammerschmidt
near Munich – that embody a new idea of community, of inter-
action and of providing hybrid spaces of living and working, which
can respond to change in open and flexible ways.”
