Il viaggio in fuoristrada è stato lungo e cal-
dissimo, ma ora è meraviglioso godere il fre-
sco delle spesse mura in argilla e terra rossa
del vecchio Forte, vestire un fresco caftano
di lino bianco, sorseggiare un tè alla menta
e sfiorare con le dita le superfici ruvide ed
imperfette intorno a me.
The off-road journey was long and very hot,
but now she enjoys the coolness of the thi-
ck clay and red earth walls of the old Fort,
dressing in a cool white linen caftan, sipping
a mint tea and touching with her fingers the
rough surfaces of the Tuareg’s basin
