Blind Stitch
Used on most seaming, garments, and
upholstery. Two pieces of fabric are sewn
together so that it is nearly impossible to
see thread joining them.
Top Stitch
A design choice where the stitching is visible
on one side of the seam, creating a “top”
stitch.
Saddle Stitch
Stitches are visible on both sides of the
seam. Used as a design element on seat
cushions, or to create a seamless tight-back
sofa wider than a standard bolt of fabric.
