IC - il cui nome si ispira alla forma di alcuni elementi derivati
dall’architettura – è una collezione di preziosi accessori da scrivania.
Sono micro architetture, fatte di putrelle d’acciaio, profili standard rubati
al mondo dell’architettura e superfici di ottone finemente levigate. Sono
oggetti puri, scultorei. Nella serie, oltre a vassoi, portapenne e scatole, vi
sono porta lettere, tagliacarte, astucci da tavolo e righelli. Tipologie ormai
lontane dal nostro quotidiano, quasi fossero fantasmi del passato, ma che
nell’era digitale risvegliano il desiderio di fisicità, matericità e manualità.
IC is a collection of precious desk accessories. They are micro-
architectures, made of steel beams, standard profiles stolen from the
world of architecture and finely polished brass surfaces. They are pure,
sculptural objects. In the series, in addition to trays, pen holders and
boxes, there are letter trays, letter openers, desk cases, rulers. Items that
are now far removed from our daily lives, almost as if they were ghosts of
the past, but which in the digital age reawaken the desire for physicality,
materiality and manual skills.
