I tavolini BREAD prendono forma all’interno del processo creativo anticonvenzionale,
sperimentale e giocoso che caratterizza lo studio Toogood. I due tavolini sono stati
progettati affettando una pagnotta di pane a lievitazione naturale e impilando le fette
in forme scultoree, morbide e organiche, che sono state poi scolpite in frassino con una
finitura che esalta le venature naturali del legno. L’intarsio in acero, tinto naturalmente in
una delicata tonalità primula, crea un effetto che richiama una fetta di pane imburrato.
BREAD side tables were designed by baking, slicing and stacking a loaf of Sourdough
bread. From this rustic beginning, two sculptural side tables have emerged. BREAD
side table’s soft and naturalistic forms are carved from Ash. The warmth and tactility
of the side tables is complimented with a stain that celebrates the wood’s natural
grain. The side table’s Maple inlay is naturally stained in a pale primrose tone, giving
the impression of a slice of buttered bread.
