A questo punto, guardando le immagini che rappresentano tutto
il nostro lavoro o perlomeno la parte significativa, ripercorrendo
la memoria, non posso non considerare quante vite, stili, mode,
siano passate attraverso i nostri prodotti. Quanta gente, la più
diversa, si sia accomodata, abbia parlato, riso e condiviso il
proprio tempo e quanto esso contasse e conta per loro. Non
posso non considerare il cambiamento dei tempi, di come le
mani debbano saper gestire la tecnologia, l’intelligenza artificia-
le ed essere loro per prime a stringere con vigore queste altre
mani, fondendo industria e artigianato in modo indissolubile e
rispettoso. Ora guardo le immagini dei nostri prodotti e mi emo-
ziono nel vedere come essi vivano attraverso il tempo. Il mondo
mi affascina e non credo esista un solo divano che non riporti
sulla sua pelle ciò che la vita meravigliosa ha segnato sulla mia
e quella della nostra famiglia. E questo nostro cammino ci ha
condotto a guardare gli ambienti e le necessità dell’abitare con
occhi che hanno imparato ad accettare e ad amare altri orizzonti
e paesaggi e permesso alle mani di esplorare altre trame, tes-
sute con maestria. E ci ha inorgoglito vedere realizzato ancora
del bello poiché dalla bellezza nasce armonia e benessere che
poi è la vera essenza della casa e degli spazi dove si lavora e
si vive la vita.
Ecco, ora guardo le mie mani e vedo quelle delle mie figlie e so
che dietro una passione è nato un amore grande, rappresentato
da uno stile che piace a tante altre persone che magari hanno
idee e progetti diversi che vogliono sviluppare e condividere
con noi. E questo mi gratifica e rasserena.
Spero che quanto scritto sia stato il giusto modo di presentare
la prima monografia Rivolta e se guardo le mie mani, esse mi
dicono di sì.

At this point, as I look at the images that represent all our work—or
at least its most significant part—and retrace the thread of me-
mory, I cannot help but reflect on how many lives, styles, and
fashions have passed through our products. How many different
people have sat down, talked, laughed, and shared their time on
them—and how much that time mattered, and still matters, to them.
I cannot help but consider how times have changed, how hands
must now be able to master technology and artificial intelligence,
and be the first to grasp these new tools firmly—bringing together
industry and craftsmanship in an inseparable and respectful way.
Now, as I look at the images of our products, I am moved to see
how they live on through time. The world fascinates me, and I do
not believe there is a single sofa that does not carry on its surface
the marks that this wonderful life has left on mine and on that of
our family.
Our journey has led us to observe living spaces and the needs
of dwelling with eyes that have learned to embrace and love new
horizons and landscapes, allowing our hands to explore new tex-
tures, masterfully woven. It has filled us with pride to see beauty
take shape once again, because from beauty comes harmony
and well-being— and that is the true essence of a home, and of
the spaces where we work and live our lives.
Now I look at my hands and see those of my daughters, and I
know that behind a passion a great love has grown—expressed
in a style that resonates with many other people, who may have
different ideas and projects they wish to develop and share with
us. And this brings me both gratification and peace.
I hope these words have been the right way to introduce the first
Rivolta monograph. When I look at my hands, they tell me they
have.
