Il concetto su cui baso la progettazione degli spazi espositivi è la narrazione. Saper raccontare un progetto
attraverso le immagini facendo vivere un’esperienza in prima persona al fruitore o al consumatore di un
prodotto è fondamentale nella trasmissione delle linee guida della propria azienda. Collocare i due “Spazi
ingresso” in posizione prominente è il primo passo verso la conoscenza di questo nuovo concetto. Entrare in
contatto con Oikos mi ha introdotto in un nuovo mondo e come per tutte le novità si è immediatamente
invasi da cento domande: cosa può rappresentare una porta? quali sono i concetti che ne determinano la
forma e la funzione? quale compito assolve la porta nella società moderna e quale è stata la sua funzione
nell’architettura del passato? Una serie di riflessioni mi hanno portato a sviluppare un progetto più ampio, un
progetto d’ingresso, non solo una superficie mobile che si è spesso cercato di camuffare ma un vero e proprio
“luogo”, un ambiente “di mezzo”, un’architettura demiurgica che collega il dentro ed il fuori, che unisce,
separa, introduce e racconta. Una porzione di spazio di nuova concezione che sfonda i confini degli ambienti
e permette che l’uno permei nell’altro in una sfumatura architettonica unica.
Which was the general concept that led you to design the entrance architectures of the stand?
The concept on which I based the planning of the exhibition spaces is narration. Knowing how to tell a story
through images and letting the customer experience the product firsthand is essential for the transmission
of the guidelines of a company. Situating the two “Entrance Spaces” in a prominent position is the first
step towards the knowledge of this new concept. Getting in touch with Oikos put me in a new world and,
like every news, I’ve been flooded with hundreds of questions: what can a door represent? Which are the
main concepts determining its shape and function? Which is the task that a door must fulfill in the modern
society and which was its function in the past architecture? A series of thoughts led me to develop a wider
project, an entrance project, not only a moving surface that has always been disguised but a real “place”,
a “middle” environment, a demiurgic architecture which connects the inside and the outside, which unites,
separates, introduces and tells. A portion of space of new conception that breaks the borders of the different
environments, one permeating the other in a single architectural nuance.

L’elemento ceramico coinvolge la sfera della tecnicità e della praticità, porta con sé la capacità di decorare ed interpretare
superfici con un materiale che, per caratteristiche tecniche, ha una grande resistenza agli agenti ambientali. Oikos ha
sempre interpretato questo materiale in modo proprio, personale, creando un modello che è diventato caratteristico della
propria produzione. Ho lavorato su questo modello per interpretarne nuove forme, nuove geometrie, “staccando” elementi
dalle superfici o scavando gole lineari per ricavarne nuove funzionalità.
How did you study the interpretation of the entrance with ceramic? Which aspects did you want to highlight?
The ceramic element affects the technical and practical fields, bringing with it the ability to decorate and interpret different
surfaces with a material that, due to its technical features, has a great resistance to environmental agents. Oikos has always
considered this material in a personal way, creating a model that has become a characteristic of its production. I worked on
this model in order to interpret new shapes, new geometries, “standing out” elements from the surfaces or digging linear
gullies to obtain new functions.

Quali aspetti hai voluto mettere in luce?
La pietra naturale porta con sé l’unicità di un prodotto non riproducibile, è sostanzialmente un pezzo
unico in ogni superficie, dona la forza materica e la grazia di un’opera pittorica originata da materia
e tempo. La grande capacità tecnologica di Oikos fa si che questo elemento, archetipo della cultura
architettonica, possa essere oggi utilizzato come superficie delle porte blindate al servizio della tecnica
sviluppata dall’azienda leader del settore in questi anni. Una porta blindata in pietra naturale è unica
anche nella ripetizione del prodotto su più elementi, diventa un’opera irripetibile ed eterna come
la materia di cui le porte sono costituite. il concetto di “Pietra” e di “Acciaio” sono ben radicati
nel nostro essere e trasmettono concetti chiari e imprescindibili di solidità e di durevolezza.
How did you study the interpretation of the entrance with natural stone?
Which aspects did you want to highlight?
The natural stone brings with it the uniqueness of a product that cannot be reproducible,
there’s basically a unique piece in every surface, it gives the same material strength and the elegance
of a painting originated from matter and time. Oikos great technological skills ensure that this element,
being an archetype of the architectural culture, can be used for the surface of the security doors at the
service of the technique developed by the company, leader in this field, during these years. A security door
cladded with natural stone is unique even if it is reproduced, it becomes an unrepeatable and eternal work
like the material of which the doors are composed. The concepts of “Stone” and “Steel” are deeply-rooted
in our being and they convey clear and essential concepts of solidity and durability.
