Il tappeto non è un semplice complemento d’arredo:
è una cultura che si tramanda da generazioni, con gesti
sapienti e tecniche raffinate. Con la sua forma definisce
uno spazio fisico, ma anche spirituale, e attraverso
i nodi narra una storia antica e insieme contemporanea,
contribuendo ad arricchire di bellezza e unicità l’universo
privato di chi lo possiede.
Una responsabilità non da poco, di cui la famiglia
Mohebban è pienamente consapevole.
Dai primi anni ’70, Mohebban produce tappeti di
altissima qualità, senza dimenticare questi valori e il
profondo significato di un’arte millenaria. Dall’Iran, luogo
d’origine della famiglia, a Milano, sede dell’azienda
da più di mezzo secolo, passando per la Turchia, l’India
e il Pakistan dove oggi avviene la produzione: da tre
generazioni una visione internazionale, nella quale
trovano posto tradizione, cura dei dettagli, gesti
antichi, sempre accompagnati però da uno sguardo
contemporaneo, attento al design e alle sfide di un
presente dinamico e in continua evoluzione.
A rug is not simply a furnishing accessory: it is a piece
of cultural history that has been handed down from
generation to generation, enriched with know-how, skills
and sophisticated techniques. The shape of the rugs defines
the physical and spiritual dimensions. The rug-knotting
tells an age-old story that is projected to contemporary
living, adding beauty and an exclusive touch to the
private universe of the owner. This responsibility should
not be underestimated and the Mohebban family knows
what is expected of them. Since the early 70s, Mohebban
has been producing superior quality rugs; however, the
company has never lost sight of these core values and
the meaning of this ancient art form deeply rooted in
history. The company’s journey began in Iran, the family’s
homeland, with destination Milan, where the company
headquarters was founded more than half a century ago;
it has strong ties to Turkey, India and Pakistan where the
rug production now takes place. Three generations of the
family have shared the same international vision; a vision
that embraces tradition, with attention to detail, age-old
gestures, procedures projected to contemporary living,
always focusing on the designs and the challenges of the
present day with its continuously evolving dynamics.
