To this cylinder we can add \ndifferent conical shades in oyster white, beige, \ngrey, black or red, in several sizes. But most \ningenious of all is that each of these lamps can \nhave a simple counterweight such that when \nthey are hung between two points, they can \nbe moved.\nAn almost imperceptible lens covers \nthe LED and distributes the light. If only the \ncylindrical lamp is used, the downward-directed \nlight is impeccable, and when a shade is added, \nthe light escapes, illuminating the lamp itself. \nThis new lighting system gives the user control \nof the light, offering a new conceptual proposal.\nCovering and baring lamps, moving them \nup, down and sideways. Milana \nlets you create countless compositions, a \nsymphony of light.\nMover el punto de luz, esta es la idea que yace \ndetrás del nuevo diseño de Jaume Ramírez. \nMilana consiste en un sistema de lámparas de \nsuspensión modular que se combinan entre \nsí y se pueden desplazar tanto a nivel vertical \ncomo horizontal. \nParadójicamente este nuevo diseño \nempieza con la deconstrucción del arquetipo \nde una lámpara: sintetizándola al máximo, se \nqueda solo con un cuerpo cilíndrico suspendido \ncon un led incorporado. A este cilindro se le \npueden añadir distintas pantallas cónicas en \ncinco colores –blanca, beige, gris, negro o rojo–  \ny varias medidas. This new \nsuspension lamp is a first, and was designed \nby Manuel Valls Vergés, one of Spain’s most \nnotable architects at the time and 15-year \npartner of J.A. Coderch, alongside whom he \nundertook such prominent projects as the \nUgalde house, near Barcelona. The MVV \nname reflects Vergés’ initials, which was the \ndesire of his grandson who has rescued this \nlamp 45 years later.\nMarset took the original design – an \noctagon with overlapping sheets – and \nupdated it by giving it a dual skin: cherry \nwood on the outside and a white color \ninside. Through the use of wood, the MVV \nyields an exceptionally warm light.\nAn understated, rational, and eminently \ngeometric lamp, in which the direct, down-\nfacing light is complemented by indirect light \nthat filters through the sheets. A design that, \nthough timeless, reflects the constructive \nlogic of that period.\nLa historia de la MVV empieza en los años 70. \nEsta nueva lámpara de suspensión es inédita, \ny fue diseñada por Manuel Valls Vergés, uno \nde los arquitectos más relevantes de ese \nmomento en España, socio de J.A. Coderch \ndurante 15 años y junto a quien realizó –entre \notros- proyectos como la casa Ugalde cerca \nde Barcelona. Marset wasn’t willing to settle for just \nthe two table lamp sizes it has come in so far. \nIts most poetic light expands its uses and is \nnow offered as a portable lamp, suspension \nlamp, wall lamp and a new table lamp size –\nø20 cm– to bridge the gap between the small \nand large sizes. The colors are the same, with \nan expanded model line-up.\nThe new portable Dipping Light relies on \na battery to forego the cable. It has a switch \nat the base and, like the other Marset portable \nlamps, features a dimmer to set the light output \nat one of three intensities. Small but important \nchanges to make it completely mobile. It can \nalso be purchased with a metal base so the \nlamp can be set atop a table.\nThe new suspension Dipping Light gets \nrid of everything to keep only the essential, with \ncolour taking centre stage. When using several \nlamps to make a composition, the visual effect \nis mesmerising. This new version comes in \nthree sizes, with 13,5, 20 and 30 cm diameters.\nNo model expansion would be complete \nwithout a new version of the Dipping Light \nas a wall lamp. Unlike the other models, this \none introduces changes to the original and \ntwo different stands have been designed to \nsupport the lamp, with one offering lighting \nin the horizontal direction and the other in \nthe vertical direction. There is also a choice \nof finish for the wall lamp box between gold \nand graphite. Two new versions to expand its \nfunctionality even more.\nFinally, to make the Dipping Light \ncollection more extensive and consistent,  \nwe are adding an intermediate 20-centimeter \ntable lamp. A new size with identical colors to \ncomplement its two predecessors.\nLa historia de la Dipping Light solo ha \nhecho que empezar. Marset no ha querido \nconformarse con solo las dos medidas \nde sobremesa que ha tenido hasta ahora: \nsu lámpara más poética amplía sus usos \ny se ofrece como portátil autónoma, \nsuspensión, aplique y con un nuevo tamaño \nde sobremesa –ø20 cm– a caballo entre \nla pequeña y la grande. Los colores se \nmantienen, se amplía la tipología.\nLa nueva Dipping Light portátil lleva \nbatería a cambio de eliminar el cable, \nincorpora un interruptor integrado en su base \ny –como en las demás portátiles de Marset– \nconsta de un dimmer que permite modular la \nluz en tres intensidades diferentes. Esta nueva \nmodalidad se presenta en tres tamaños \ndistintos: 13,5 , 20 y 30 centímetros de diámetro.\nA toda esta ampliación de gama tampoco \npodía faltar una nueva versión de la Dipping \nLight como aplique de pared.
