Ancient volumes, solid and \nrobust to the eye, dialogue with new, light and \napparently fragile geometries in a play of con-\ncrete and glass, whose contrasts create harmon-\nic forms. The result is a house with large spaces, \nextending on three levels, with a clear structure \nand characterized by an assembly of indoor \nspaces rendered as single volumes from the \noutside. But the real charm of The Hill House \nlies in its transparency that establishes an exqui-\nsite connection with the changing seasons and \ntherefore with the surrounding nature until the \nsummer when the house opens out onto terrac-\nes overlooking the landscape, almost doubling \nits surface area.
