Nel lavaggio in acqua, l’aggiunta di ammorbidente aiuta a mantenere le fibre \nmorbide e scivolose evitando così lo sfregamento del tessuto durante le fasi di lavaggio. I simboli di manutenzione, presenti nell’etichetta cucita \nalla fodera, indicano delle raccomandazioni per non danneggiare il prodotto tessile. Il primo lavaggio in acqua del tessuto, così come il prela-\nvaggio, rendono il rivestimento più morbido ed elastico. Dopo il lavaggio della fodera, si consiglia di evitare la completa asciugatura, affinchè \nne conservi una maggiore morbidezza tale da facilitare l’operazione di rivestitura.  \nI tessuti in fibra naturale o artificiale, dopo il lavaggio, subiscono un leggero restringimento ed una lieve perdita di tonalità, solo la fibra sintetica \nè irrestringibile. I tessuti “greggi”, realizzati con fibre nel colore naturale, nella fase di lavaggio, possono rilasciare delle impurità eliminabili \ncon un successivo lavaggio. I tessuti con armatura più complessa e pesante sono più ricettivi alla polvere. In questo caso si raccomanda una \nmanutenzione più frequente al fine di evitare il radicarsi dello sporco.\nI velluti di cotone e di viscosa sono particolarmente delicati e richiedono particolari attenzioni, l’effetto scrivente e lo schiacciamento del pelo \nsono caratteristiche e non sono né un difetto, né un segno di bassa qualità. Per evitare l’appiattimento del pelo e le discromie conseguenti, si \nconsiglia di ravvivare regolarmente il rivestimento e nel caso di segni di schiacciamento più accentuati, l’uso del vapore a distanza e a tem-\nperatura moderata. It is also moisture-resistant and highly resistant \nto fungi, insects and fire.\nAsh is very flexible and easy to process, making it particularly suitable for bending. It tends to be light-coloured, ranging from blonde \nto light brown, and featuring thin, regular and very delicate veins.\nWalnut is a very fine wood type, one of the best in terms of quality, processing ease and resistance. Its strength lies in its deep brown \ncolour featuring elegant, dark veins.\nOak is a very hard, tough wood featuring beautiful veins which stand out to create a very pleasant aesthetic attraction. Oak is very \ndurable and resistant to aging, humidity, fungi and mould; it is also exceptionally tough and resistant to impact. \nIroko is called “fatwood” for its water and moisture resistance. These characteristics make it suitable for making outdoor furniture. Its \ncolours feature golden shades ranging from ochre to brown, all of which tend to darken over time. \nCane fibres are natural and derive from processing the outermost layer of rattan stems. Featuring excellent flexibility and good \nstrength, they are suitable for all types of cane coverings.\nWood lacquer is a type of coating for wood which is applied to the surface of furniture using coloured polyester and\u002For polyurethane \npaint.\nHeat-treated woods present colour variations on surface to guarantee the natural characteristics of wood.\nMARBLE\nMarble is one of the most precious types of natural stone and is used to make designer pieces and occasional furniture. It features uni-\nque, natural characteristics such as versatility, durability and the ability to lend a touch of glamour, refinement and naturalness thanks \nto its authentically beautiful veins. Irregular colours, streaks and even imperfections are part of the uniqueness of each marble slab.\nSTIFF LEATHER\nThe corrected-grain leather used by us is 2.3\u002F2.5 mm thick and features vegetable tanning. This fine tanning process makes for \nstrong, compact and very durable leather, preserving its typical, natural colour and its characteristic scent.\nGLASS\nGlass is an ancient material resulting from melting various natural elements. Thanks to its transparency and brilliance, it enriches \nspaces while lending visual lightness to them.  \nIts hardness and ductility make its use in furniture and occasional furniture widespread as it can be employed to create functional, \ntough and particularly beautiful objects that add light to any space.\nIts apparent fragility hides a very resistant material that is aesthetically perfect as well as being hygienic and recyclable. \nTempered glass has been put through a “tempering” process which makes it much tougher and more elastic.  Thermoformed glass is \nobtained by melting and then moulding glass to obtain the desired shape.  \nMETALLO\nMetal is used for its durability and cleaning ease as well as for its aesthetic features. Metal should be subjected to specific rust-\nproofing treatments such as nickel plating, chroming or coating. \nSteel\nSteel consists in an iron and carbon alloy; mild steel is also called iron. Stainless steel refers to an iron, nickel and chrome alloy. This \nis more difficult to process but – contrary to normal steel – it does not need to be treated in specific ways.\nAluminium\nThis material cannot be found in nature “as is” but is always found in an oxide form. I \nliquidi o altra sostanza, caduti accidentalmente, vanno asportati subito tamponando leggermente con una spugna inumidita fino alla \ncompleta eliminazione; non strofinare mai energicamente.
