Therefore not \nonly functionality, but also aesthetical \nagreeability for Cottage n°1, project in \nwhich the external shell in cor-ten steel \nmeets natural fir wooden sides. \nCottage n°1 allows the resolution of \nvarious situations, changing functionality \nin comparison to the user’s demands: \nhut or locker room for the bathing \nestablishments, mini-garage for bicycles \nand scooters, niche thinking-room to \nfind the concentration privately, micro \nworkshop to contain the utensils for \nthe ones who love the bricolage etc. \nConstituted by two cor-ten steel plates \nunited by a joint on the roof, Cottage n°1, \nthanks to the De Castelli mistral wisdom \nin the workmanship of the iron and the \nsteel, can be realized with customized \ndimensions which amplify its use. International \nArchitecture Biennale exhibition in Venice \nrealizes an extraordinary installation \nin iron; Copycat. Empathy and envy as \nform-makers, projected by Cino Zucchi \nArchitects, which received the special \nmention at the Leoni d’Oro 2012 Award.\nIt is not the first occasion in which \nDe Castelli become partner for the \nrealization of a Biennale exhibition work \nin Venice. The company in fact has built \nin the years a good reputation done \nof punctuality, productive potentiality, \nhandicraft competence, attention to the \ndetails, precision, delineating an own \noneness and making itself well visible \nin the sophisticated dimension of the \narchitecture. The De Castelli know-how, \npartly inherited by generations of experts \nblacksmiths and progressively fed and \nimplemented with the best technological \ninnovations, it expresses, further to a \nstrong organizational attitude, an elevated \nproductive ability, a spontaneity in the \nrelationships and a great passion for the \nartisan job.\nCino Zucchi, architect of international \nfame, is one among the few Italian invited \nby the director David Chipperfield to \ninterpret the theme 2012 “Common \nGround”, for which has imagined an \nirregular space, that alludes to a Square, \npaved with small pebbles of raw iron \nof hexagonal form, around which great \nmetallic closets are placed. On their \nexternal side, each of them show a \ncollection of objects or images. \nThe side of every element \u002F closet is \ncharacterized by a “motive” that shows \na series of variations in dimension, \nproportion and rhythm of the construction \nin iron. The result can be interpreted as \na series of models of buildings, on scale, \ninserted in a Square.\nCaused to the complexity of  production, \nDe Castelli started the organizational job \nsince the month of April with the choice \nof the operational team, specialized in this \ntype of works, which was engaged into \nthe realization of this sculpture.
