ONE THOUSAND MUSEUM
BY ZAHA HADID ARCHITECTS
The One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects will be
known for its fusion of art, architecture, and design. Over the past
thirty years, the late Zaha Hadid has become an internationally re-
nowned leading figure for her sensuous designs and soaring build-
ings that push the limits of innovation and blur the lines between
art and architecture. Anticipated as the most prestigious residential
tower in Miami, One Thousand Museum will also be the first resi-
dential skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere.
The One Thousand Museum boasts utterly breath-taking views of
the Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The Museum brings Had-
id’s visionary architecture with an unprecedented level of service
and extraordinary amenities. As a whole, One Thousand Museum
is a celebration of excellence, innovation, creativity, and ambition.
This prestigious residential tower appears as a continuous piece of
contemporary sculpture from the podium to the crown. The con-
trast between the robust exoskeleton and the crystalline glazing of
the glass façade beneath it is one defining characteristic. The other
essential distinction is the integrity with which form follows func-
tion. The tower’s fluid curves reflect its internal organisation as it
rises more than sixty stories from the arrival podium to the amenity
levels, the residential floors above, and finally the dramatic double
height amenity space and Indoor Aquatic Centre at the crown.
Shadows cast by the white exoskeleton on the recessed glass façade
emphasise the interplay between the verticality of the tower and
the horizontal lines of balconies.
