The Everest Restaurant is located on the fortieth floor of the Chi-
cago Stock Exchange and provides exquisite wine and cuisine cu-
rated by renowned Chef Joho. COVETED MAGAZINE had the
immense pleasure of visiting this superb venue which is regarded
as one of the country’s most thrilling dining destinations
Bronze sculptures created by acclaimed Swiss artist Ivo Soldini
grace each table and mesmerize its beholder, as it was our case,
and marvellous paintings by Chicago artists Adam Siegel and
Tim Anderson decorate the walls. In addition, the stunning din-
ing room also features jaw-dropping sculptures by Virginio Fer-
rari. Jean Joho’s French cuisine is characterised by a combination
of the finest seasonal fare made with local and regional ingre-
dients. The restaurant features several course menus, from the
acclaimed multi-course degustation menu to the vegetarian one,
whichever you try, you are guaranteed to have a unique dining
experience. Another noteworthy aspect about Everest is its phe-
nomenal collection of Alsace wines that represent the greatest
products in that region. Also available in the list are a sumptuous
selection of cocktails, speciality cocktails, and select beer.
The French fine dining institution has recently celebrated its
30th anniversary.
Everest has been distinguished with several accolades, from re-
ceiving the highest marks from Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-
Times and Chicago Magazine as well as “country’s best selection
of Alsace wine” by USA Today, The New York Times and Saveur
and it has also received a Five-Diamond AAA rating.
