IL PALAGIO AT FOUR SEASONS FIRENZE
Il Palagio is situated on the ground floor of the Palazzo della Gherar-
desca. The room retains its original antique curved ceiling. The in-
teriors are surprising for everyone who enters the restaurant for the
first time. If you have a date, we suggest you plan on arriving some
minutes ahead because you’ll be amazed by this impressive area
with numerous columns, a charming garden, and alfresco walls.
The Michelin Starred Chef Vito Mollica, assisted by Executive Sous
Chef Marco Veneruso and his team, also offer multicourse tasting
menus with wine pairing. The Pastry Chef Domenico Di Clemente
will pamper guests with his tempting selection of desserts and pas-
tries. - Cavatelli pasta ’cacio e pepe’ with marinated red prawns and
baby squid is one of the best delicacies of Il Palagio menu, which
was awarded “dish of the year” in the 2013 edition of the presti-
gious Italian restaurant guide “Guida Ristoranti Espresso 2013”.
The service is five stars and makes it an overall pleasant experience
and a must visit in Firenze!
CINQUE ROOMS
CINQUE ROOMS is the first street Italian hotel, which was built
from a new concept of hospitality. It is located in San Zeno which
is the most characteristic neighbourhood in the centre of the city,
just a few steps from the Arena, the historic centre and the ma-
jor shopping venue. The hotel has been designed, furnished and
opened its doors in the summer of 2014, it is located on the ground
floor of “Palazzo Portichetti”, where it was once a butcher shop.
Cinque concept appreciates the collaboration of Giancarlo Perbelli-
ni, a Michelin Starred chef and renowned hospitality expert Marco
Pigot. Cinque is composed of 5 different types of rooms each one
completely unique in style. The rooms have been designed to detail
so as to provide guests with luxurious, modern and elegant com-
fort: Mr Gray, Mr Pink, Mr Purple, and Mr Blue. The last suite is
named Mr White. The street hotel concept is relatively new and
very interesting. There is no reception area because the street hotel
concept consists in having direct access from the street, the guests
can enter their rooms freely without passing through the reception
area. Two of the rooms, Mr Blue and Mr Purple, have doors on the
sidewalk, providing guests with absolute privacy in their rooms. A
very well-balanced breakfast is served in each room, on a previously
scheduled hour, providing guests with comfort and pleasure. The
experience at Cinque was one of the most unique and interesting
during our stay in Italy, not only because of the particular look and
feel of this street hotel but also because of the kind staff that made
us feel at home, right from the moment we stepped in the building
until we left. Its uniqueness is unforgettable and we will miss it.
As we continue our amazing trip through Italy, we decided to stop
VERONA WHERE TO SLEEP
in Firenze, the city of Dante and Da Vinci, Botticelli and other
renowned artists. If you make the smart decision to stop in Firen-
ze, we suggest you take a walk around the city centre in order to
appreciate the fantastic galleries. Firenze is enriched by world-class
pieces of art and some of the most famous museums in the world,
like the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia that deserve a prime spot
on your Florence itinerary. Even the less visited Bargello Museum
deserves your attention, as well as the incredible Duomo of Firen-
ze, one of the most iconic symbols of the Renaissance period. We
have not yet mentioned all the churches and galleries filled with
masterpieces created by Michelangelo, Ghirlandaio, Donatello, etc.
