26 North Yachts is a company created by childhood friends Mike
Carlson and Nicholas Scherb. After spending many summers on
neighbouring lakes in Wisconsin (mainly Carlson on Lake Delavan and
Scherb on Lake Geneva) the two developed a passion for boats, which
culminated with the creation of this incredible company. They are
know for having a very strong commitment to excellence, alongside
with their advanced marketing techniques, all of which represent some
of the finest private motor yachts available on the market right now.
ABEKING & RASMUSSEN
Abeking & Rasmussen is one of the top names that comes to any boat
lover’s mind when thinking about some of the top Germany luxury
yachts. It was first established all the way back in 1907 by Georg
Abeking and Henry Rasmussen, hence the name by which it stands
today. The company goes by the philosophy that in shipbuilding
size does matter, both emotionally and tangibly, as well as with the
technological evolution that comes even to the sector. Not only is this a
company with a large experience, but they’re also on pair with the latest
trends in the yachting community.
AZIMUT
The next entry of our list started off as a family business by Paollo
Vitelli, who created the company in 1969 as a young university
student. Today Azimut Yachts is currently a leader in the design and
build of luxury motor yachts, all of which are unmistakably defined
by their Italian beauty reflected through modern technology. After
acquiring Benetti in 1985, the company definitely started to give some
relevant steps in the industry as well as introducing some revolutionary
concepts in yacht building, mainly large frameless windows, electric
seats, and walnut interiors.
BAGILETTO
Here we have yet another veteran on the list. Baglietto, is a historic
shipyard founded in 1854 by Pietro Baglietto. The founder first started
his boat experience by building small wooden boats in the backyard
of his house, which lead to the creation of this incredible company.
They mainly specialize in the construction of new planning and semi-
displacement aluminum yachts and mega-yachts. This is a company
which has always leveraged on design tradition combined with
innovation, and outstanding quality that is recognizable in many Made-
in-Italy projects.
