To complement the unusual composition, they
chose the Brubeck XL Wall Lights from the brand
DelightFULL. Its extravagant form, reminiscent of
a musical organisation, perfectly emphasises the
generally vertical orientation of the space.
Developing the interior of this living room, the
designers decided to add a fireplace, which was
framed by elegant grey structures and pendant
hanging lamps. The presence of high ceilings means
the possibility of installing massive designer lamps.
This time, they decided to fill the space with a chic
chandelier from the Portuguese brand LUXXU. Made
of brass and elegant crystal, it created a luxurious
atmosphere and brought even more glam to the
living room.
“High windows let in a lot of light, so even the coolest
shades do not seem gloomy, and the noble texture of
marble plays a new pattern in the daylight. [...] We
decided to make the sleeping area completely soft.
From the ceiling, the velvet wall upholstery smoothly
turns into a wide bed and ends with a wide carpet of
a grey-coffee hue. At the wall, decorated with a dark
glass, there was a small banquet.
Here, we decided to add an unusually curved lamp
that seems to frame this part of the room and serves
as local lighting. Opposite the bed, traditionally
equipped with a TV-zone, the area is complemented
by a design of laconic drawers. We’ve decided to
highlight the wall using a decorative panel in ashy
tones, the print of which remotely resembles the
silhouettes of flowering trees. In order to bring a
piece of Renaissance art to our bedroom, we placed a
bust of Venus Milosskaya made of white stone. This
zone is equipped with a high mirror with a perimeter
illumination. We also picked up a small designer
pouffe and, above the table, we decided to install a
poetic pendant lamp in the form of hovering moon
birds”. The Savage Ground house definitely turned
out to be a project that defies the laws of aesthetic.
When we start to talk about the Savage Ground
project that took place in Ukraine, at Villa Kozin,
we have to highlight the powerful marble columns
and their strength, the details of the crystals that
reflect purity and subtlety, and the yellow metal
that symbolises the inexhaustible energy and
heat. We sat down with the Rosko Design studio
professionals that were responsible for the project.
They’ve explained to us that they used the principle
of symmetrical arrangement of objects, as in the
traditional classical style, and complemented the
interior with modern art objects that reflect the
philosophy of our days.
As we listened to CEO Anatoly Roskovsko and
Designer Katerina, we realised they used many
sources of soft light to unobtrusively emphasise the
main accents in the rooms, as well as the contrast
of dark and light tones, to create a harmonious
palette in the interior. It’s impossible not to notice
the decor items of the world’s leading brands, such
as WALTER KNOLL, DelightFULL, LUXXU and
others in this project. Inspired by the abstract work
of Catherine Severac, it became the key scene in the
living room of the house. “In the hall, we used a lot
of warm light, which gently and elegantly fought
in the gloss of floor marble. Crystal and gilding
of massive chandeliers give the interior a special
atmosphere and luxury. [...] For this hall, we decided
to choose a special individual element - aquariums
in the floor. Of course, the peculiarities of their
operation was taken into account, the construction
and glazing of the aquariums were carried out under
the guidance of competent specialists. Therefore, the
owners don’t have to worry about their strength,
but simply enjoy unusual designs and surprise the
guests”. It’s undeniable that the columns turned
to be a striking accent to this room. Although they
perform a basic function (to separate the dining area
from the common space), they add a sense of order
and sobriety hard to achieve. As a matter of fact, they
organically fit into the interior as the grey marble
highlights the glowing blocks at the bottom of each
column. Thus, it seems that the columns are floating
above the floor, radiating warm light.
“The choice of furniture
was based on the WALTER
KNOLL brand, which
attracted the designers with its
laconic forms.”
