BRERA DESIGN DISTRICT
Brera Design District is the most important district in Italy
for the promotion of design, one of the most creative and
commercial focal points in the country. The district aims to
support excellence and to develop business and real estate in the
area, enhancing the district’s cultural supply and appeal, as well
as fusing tradition and innovation in the all-encompassing field
of design. Offering a series of high-profile exhibitions and events,
each year, more than 200 exhibitors present their new projects
and ideas to a design perceptive and culturally oriented public.
They find the district’s astonishing and suggestive locations
the perfect ones to show their labour of work, not to mean
its artsy nature and surroundings, especially the narrow and
cobbled streets that encompass a wide range of antique shops,
showrooms and galleries.
ISOLA DESIGN DISTRICT
The Isola Design District saw its inception just last year, counting
with the participation of over 100 designers and brands.
The event favours international and emerging designers, local
artisans and creative startups to meet, showcase their projects
and establish business contact amidst one of the most vital
design weeks in the whole world. Isola Design District boasts
trendy venues like Corso Como, Corso Garibaldi and the new
skyscrapers area of Porta Nuova. It is by supporting sectors like
design, fashion, its local workshops, green design and gastronomy
that the event has been able to develop its artistic and historical
heritage and it only shows signs of growing even further.
VENTURA PROJECTS - VENTURA
CENTRALE + VENTURA FUTURE
In 2018, Ventura Projects found a new destination, Ventura Future!
This new project will act as a faultless panorama to present creator’s
projects and products to a wide-ranging international and motivated
audience. Ventura Future will pave the way for resourcefulness and
experimentation, thus elevating the design scene and its contributors.
Ventura Future will focus on the next development in design. With a
special eye on future concepts, innovative techniques, new materials
and progressive visual language. It is destined to present the very best
of contemporary and experimental design.
The other major project from Ventura is Ventura Centrale. Once
again, this venue will open the abandoned warehouses underneath
Milan’s Central Station to display original, awe-inspiring and
dynamic developments. The spaces will be masterfully transformed
to illustrate contemporary, visionary and high-end design, giving
endless viewing possibilities to visitors.
SUPERDESIGN SHOW
Fighting towards quality, excellence and research, this year’s
SuperDesign Show will feature the ‘Only the Best’ manifesto proposed
by Gisella Borioli. The event focuses on providing a selection, including
work from the industry’s leading names from all over the world,
innovative projects, lifestyle trends, technological solutions that are
bound to improve the environment and everyday life. At the design
show, you can expect to see the SuperLoft exhibition imagined by
Cappellini, consisting of an imaginary yet real home, cool and eclectic,
cultured and elegant. In addition, Nendo will also present a sensorial
exhibition entitled “forms of movement”, creating a mesmerising
journey that will not only feature final products but also samples and
drafts. Lastly, visitors will also have the opportunity to see exhibitions
regarding environment and technology and innovation of materials
and textures, among many other thrilling surprises.
