What do luxury, design and fashion taste like?
Creativity is not enough, every designer must also have the abil-
ity to summarize and to play the part of people. My work as
a designer has been enriched over the years with a shared ex-
perience, very close to people: my personal blog about design.
Sharing ideas and visions in the world of design and its evolution
has always led me to broader considerations on the concept of
luxury. As well as fashion is not homologation, in the same way,
luxury cannot be conceived as a mere economic factor. Expensive
does not necessarily mean luxurious. Luxury is rather a refusal of
compromise. It is above all personalization. Fashion and design
are two projections of ourselves, the first focused on our person,
the second on spaces that surround us. And luxury is also the
ability to satisfy one’s desires. My aesthetic taste is led by an el-
egant eccentricity, separated from time, but consistent with my
emotions. Luxury brands have begun to dialogue with their mar-
kets with a more human-to-human approach. More stories of life
lived, experiences, emotions, more contact with reality. Fashion
and design have accepted the challenge of enriching their col-
lections with more human-centred themes. Luxury fashion and
luxury design now are closer to people than ever. Andes armchair
is a tribute to strength, which emerges and explodes thanks to
the choice of the rich cotton velvet for the padding. Charisma
and metamorphosis are the leitmotif of Essex, a small armchair
that with its velvet knows how to impose itself in every space
in which it is inserted. Functionality broadens the horizons and
now imposes itself to confer aesthetic pleasure and satisfaction.
Decadence bookcase proudly exhibits its functionality, indeed, it
elevates its symbolism. Fashion is inspired by real personalities,
it focuses on the iconic power of the muses. Transgression and
inspiration come together in Talitha, the sandal by Yves Saint
Laurent that bears the name of his favourite model.
