È una fibra \nfacilmente riciclabile e consente quindi i vantaggi di un’economia \ncircolare.\nPOLIESTERE (PES)\nÈ stata una delle fibre sintetiche maggiormente diffuse per produrre \ntappeti. È eccezionalmente resistente all’usura, alla luce e più \nduraturo rispetto a molte delle fibre naturali in commercio. Non \nsubisce alterazioni se bagnato, non è soggetto a significative \ndeformazioni ed ha ottime proprietà elastiche. Un tappeto in \npoliestere non permette lo sviluppo di batteri e muffe, è atossico \ne antistatico, di facile manutenzione e quindi adatto ad essere \nutilizzato in qualsiasi tipo di ambiente.\nPOLIPROPILENE (PP)\nÈ un polimero messo a punto al Politecnico di Milano nel 1954 e da \nallora largamente usato per le sue ottime qualità: più leggero del \npoliestere, è antimacchia, assorbe poco l’umidità ed è resistente e \ndurevole. \nI tappeti in polipropilene hanno buona resilienza e offrono isolamento \ntermico e acustico simile alla lana, sono di facile manutenzione e \nanallergici, adatti quindi anche ad ambienti con bambini e animali \ndomestici. \nTRIEXTA\nTriexta è la fibra più nuova nel settore della moquette. E’ stata \ninventata da DuPont, la stessa società responsabile dell’invenzione \ndella fibra di nylon. Risulta essere naturalmente molto resistente alle \nmacchie: molte fuoriuscite possono essere pulite con solo acqua, \ninvece di usare un detergente spot.\nLa ragione principale per l’alto livello di resistenza alle macchie di \nTriexta è che la fibra è idrofoba, il che significa che non assorbe \nl’umidità. Smart è una moquette perfetta per famiglie con bambini e \nanimali grazie alla nuova tecnologia di protezione anti-rovesciamento \nNanoloc™ : nanoparticelle finissime collegate a livello molecolare \nper avvolgere la fibra e formare uno scudo totale contro lo sporco e il \nrovesciamento di liquidi e solidi.\n* La sigla SD (Solution Dyed Fiber) che accompagna alcune fibre \nsintetiche indica che sono “tinte in massa”, ossia quando la materia \nnon è ancora estrusa. Easy to clean (with water and neutral detergent) \nand maintain, it is ideal for industrial spaces, offices, hallways, \nentrances and reception areas but also in residential applications such \nas kitchens, kids rooms and bathrooms.\nPOLYAMIDE (PA)\nFabric in polyamide is commonly called nylon fiber fabric. Since \nits discovery, in the USA in 1935, has been used in a wide variety \nof products in the textile industry: from women’s tights to soldier’s \nparachutes to carpets. I tempi di queste operazioni, e di \nconseguenza i tempi di produzione, dipendono spesso da fattori \nclimatici non favorevoli, tipici delle zone monsoniche.  \nLa produzione di un tappeto annodato, dalla cardatura fino alla sua \nfase finale, coinvolge una ventina di persone, ognuna con la propria \nspecializzazione: questo garantisce la creazione di un prodotto di \nelevata qualità e destinato a durare nel tempo.\nTAFTATURA MANUALE\nEccellente alternativa ai pregiati tappeti annodati a mano, i taftati \nconservano tutte le caratteristiche di un prodotto artigianale. La \nproduzione inizia riportando il disegno del tappeto su una tela \nverticale sulla quale viene inserito il filato attraverso una pistola \ntessile manuale o elettrica ad aria compressa. Terminata questa \nfase il tappeto viene tolto dalla cornice che reggeva la tela e, dopo \nessere stato bruciato e lavato, viene rifinito con un tessuto di cotone \nincollato sul retro; la produzione si conclude con la rimozione delle \nfibre del vello in eccesso e con la successiva bordatura del tappeto. \nRealizzabile con svariati materiali, la taftatura manuale permette una \nscelta illimitata di disegni, forme e colori.\nTESSITURA A MANO\nTecnica di produzione nella quale i telai sono azionati da esperti \ntessitori senza il ricorso ad alcuna fonte di energia.\nIl telaio può essere sia verticale (Panja) che orizzontale e infossato \n(Pitloom). Con questo metodo i fili vengono intrecciati attraverso una \nspoletta e fissati da un grosso pettine che li batte e li compatta fino a \nottenere tappeti piatti e senza vello.\nUna delle più antiche tecniche di tessitura a mano è la TESSITURA \nSUMAK, in cui la trama avvolge l’ordito in modo continuo, allo scopo \ndi creare il suo tipico decoro a treccia.\nTESSITURA O ANNODATURA A TELAIO\nIl processo di lavorazione viene realizzato con un telaio che intreccia \ntra loro trama e ordito. L’ ordito è la serie di fili che viene montata \ndirettamente sul telaio durante la fase preparatoria e da essa \ndipende la larghezza del tappeto, mentre la trama consiste in un \nunico filo che viene fatto passare perpendicolarmente all’ordito, \ncreando l’intreccio e il vello. Un elemento fondamentale del telaio \nsono i “licci” che permettono ai fili dell’ordito di sollevarsi per facilitare \nil passaggio della navetta su cui sono avvolti i fili della trama. Un \ntappeto tradizionale prodotto con questa tecnica consente una \nriduzione dei tempi di lavorazione rispetto all’annodatura manuale.\nArtigianali - Manuali\nTecniche di lavorazione\nTAFTATURA MECCANICA\nLa produzione è affidata a un robot di ultima generazione che \nlavora con la massima precisione e velocità mentre una serie di \nsistemi di rilevamento del filo minimizza gli arresti e le riparazioni. \nIl robot può muoversi in qualsiasi angolo e direzione, permettendo \ndi creare le forme che si desiderano e realizzando così tappeti \ntinta unita o disegnati. Tutto il lavoro di progettazione, compresa la \nvettorializzazione, viene eseguito in un plugin grafico.\nTESSITURA MECCANICA\nQuesta tecnica permette la produzione di tappeti a tessitura piatta \ntra i quali i più conosciuti sono quelli a tessitura Jacquard. Le \nnuove macchine sono dotate di centinaia di fusi che velocizzano \nla tessitura ed un computer controlla ogni dettaglio di lavorazione, \nminimizzando così la possibilità di errore.\nVINILICO\nI prodotti in vinile sono realizzati in PVC, con vari composti aggiunti \nper personalizzare le caratteristiche del materiale in termini di colore, \nflessibilità, durezza e lucentezza.\nIl foglio di vinile che lo compone viene prodotto per immersione in \nun liquido, creando una miscela che verrà spalmata in uno strato \nsottile attraverso un processo di laminazione. Questo strato di \n“plastisol” o plastica liquida, viene poi asciugato rendendolo così un \nfoglio resistente, durevole e di facile manutenzione, ideale per aree \ncaratterizzate da forte passaggio.\nMeccaniche\nProduction Techniques\nHAND KNOTTED\nAncient workmanship that is passed down from generation to \ngeneration. Before starting the knotting an artist draws and colors \nthe motif in 1:1 scale on graph paper, where each square represents \na knot. Sitting in front of a vertical frame, the knitters will execute tens \nof thousands of knots: the higher the number of knots, the higher the \nquality of the rug and the precision of the design.\nAfter the knotting is completed, the carpet will be washed several \ntimes to remove excess fiber and make it shinier and softer; it will \nthen be dried in sunlight. The time required to complete these \noperations, and consequently the overall production time, may be \naffected by unfavourable climatic factors, typical of monsoon areas.\nThe production of a knotted rug, from the carding to its final phase, \ninvolves about twenty people, each with their own specialization: this \nensures the creation of a high quality product that will last over time.\nHAND TUFTED\nA great alternative to fine hand-knotted carpets, hand tufted ones \nretain all the characteristics of a handcrafted product. The production \nbegins by placing the design of the rug on a vertical canvas where \nthe yarn is inserted through a manual or electric compressed air \ntextile gun. At the end of this phase the carpet is removed from the \nframe that held the canvas and, after being burned and washed, \nis finished with a cotton fabric glued on the back; the production \nprocess ends with the removal of excess fleece fibers and the \nsubsequent finishing of the carpet.\nRealized with a variety of materials, hand tufting allows for an \nunlimited choice of designs, shapes and colors.\nHAND WOVEN\nProduction technique in which the looms are operated by \nexperienced weavers without the use of any energy source.\nThe loom can be both vertical (Panja) and horizontal and sunken \n(Pitloom). With this method the threads are braided through a pin and \nfixed by a large comb that beats and compacts them until you get \nflat, no-pile carpets.\nOne of the oldest hand-weaving techniques is SUMAK WEAVING, in \nwhich the weft wraps the warp in a continuous way, in order to create \nits typical braided decoration.\nHAND LOOM OR LOOM KNOTTED\nThe manufacturing process is carried out with a frame that \nintertwines the weft and the warp. The warp is the series of threads \nthat is mounted directly on the loom during the preparatory phase \nand defines the width of the carpet, while the weft consists of a \nsingle thread that is passed perpendicular to the warp, creating the \nbraid and pile. A fundamental element of the loom are the “heddles” \nwhich allow the threads of the warp to rise in order to facilitate \nthe passage of the shuttle on which the threads of the weave are \nwrapped. A traditional carpet produced with this technique allows for \na reduction in processing times compared to manual knotting.\nHand Made\nMECHANICALLY TUFTED\nThe production is entrusted to a latest generation robot that works \nwith maximum precision and speed while a series of wire detection \nsystems minimizes the stops and the repairs. The robot can move \nin any angle and direction, allowing full customation in shape, design \nand color. All design work, including vectorization, is performed in a \ngraphical plug-in. \nMECHANICALLY WOVEN\nThis technique allows the production of flat woven rugs among \nwhich the best known are those with Jacquard weaving.
