Dal 2023 è entrato a far parte
della Oetker Collection, come primo Masterpiece Hotel in
Italia.
A pochi passi
in cristallo veneziano oro.
collezioni Vertigo, Degas, 4607 e Windsor.
vasi Bolloni, in cristallo veneziano oro.
Capri, Italia | Capri, Italy
Hotel La Palma
It is the oldest hotel in Capri, built in 1822, renowned for hosting
artists and intellectuals from around the world, including poets,
writers, painters, and musicians, drawn by its serene and
quintessentially Mediterranean atmosphere. Since 2023, it has
been part of the Oetker Collection as the first Masterpiece Hotel
in Italy. The renovation, curated by designer Francis Sultana,
has captured the characteristic simplicity and brightness of
Capri's architecture, adding references to the island's 1950s
and Fellini's "La Dolce Vita" to the interiors. Just a few steps
from the famous Piazzetta, the hotel now boasts 50 rooms,
including 18 suites, all with private balconies or terraces.
Barovier&Toso elegantly illuminates some of the hotel's
common areas. The eccentric staircase leading to the upper
floors is heralded by an Excelsior ceiling light, crafted with the
“rugiada” technique, which magnificently unfolds its Venetian
crystal gold leaves. For the bar and Gennaro's restaurant, led by
the multi-starred Chef Gennaro Esposito, Barovier&Toso has
created custom wall sconces in green and gold, designed by
Sultana, who merged elements from the Vertigo, Degas, and
4607 collections. This resulted in a completely new product,
exclusive to Hotel La Palma. A similar approach was taken
for the chandelier that dominates the restaurant, an original
synthesis of the Vertigo, Degas, 4607, and Windsor collections.
Green is another highlight of the hotel, richly decorated with
plants and fresh flowers, showcased in the lobby by the
sculptural three-dimensionality of Bolloni vases in Venetian
crystal gold.
PROGETTO: Francis Sultana, FOTO: Giulio Ghirardi; PROJECT: Francis Sultana, PHOTO: Giulio Ghirardi
",8
"/media/images/ea/aef13f669bb611895e35c860c88432-28b8b2d7d7.9.png","9
Lampadario bespoke.
Bespoke chandelier.
",9
"/media/images/ea/aef13f669bb611895e35c860c88432-28b8b2d7d7.10.png","10
Lampade da parete bespoke.
Bespoke wall sconces.
",10
"/media/images/ea/aef13f669bb611895e35c860c88432-28b8b2d7d7.11.png","11
",11
"/media/images/ea/aef13f669bb611895e35c860c88432-28b8b2d7d7.12.png","12
",12
"/media/images/ea/aef13f669bb611895e35c860c88432-28b8b2d7d7.13.png","Pagina Sinistra. The Gattopardo Hall, inspired
by the 1963 film of the same name and the influence of
cinema on Dolce&Gabbana's designs, showcased the
opulence and grandeur of a past aristocratic era under
the lights and the extraordinary multicolored flowers of
the 4607 chandelier, an apotheosis of artisanal mastery
in the centuries-old glass art tradition. Dedicated explicitly
to craftsmanship, the Tailoring Hall displayed the behind-
the-scenes process of creating a garment, a workshop
environment illuminated by six gold Robin suspensions,
a modern interpretation of the lantern archetype. Finally,
the Theatre Hall offered a vibrant celebration of drama
and spectacle, presenting costumes inspired by the world
of opera, ballet, and Italian theater.
in versione bespoke, a formare colonne alte tre metri.
Rosati, Camparino, Amsterdam e l'iconico lampadario Venezia
sovrapposti o affiancati, allineati o artisticamente disposti.
Milano, Italia | Milan, Italy
EUROLUCE 2023.
