Continuing the big success of the \nPalladio family, Artifort collaborated once again with the Swedish architects Claesson Koivisto Rune. \nWe welcome Andrea into our collection: a dining and meeting chair that complements the  \nPalladio family perfectly. The design feature lies entirely in the leg and seat joint detail, which allows  \nthe possibility to play with fabrics in combination with the leg frame. In addition to this, Khodi Feiz has \nproduced a stunning new design: the Figura sofa. From the late 1950s when he was \nassigned as artistic director and designer for Artifort he slowly but surely \nformed and moulded the Artifort image up to it’s heyday in the mid 1970s. \nOnly to be stopped by his untimely death at the young age of 47.\nArtifort and Kho Liang Ie introduced outspoken designs and together \nensured that the name Artifort became a huge success internationally,  \nboth with architects and lovers of design. In 1959, Kho Liang Ie recruited \nthe French designer Pierre Paulin, who introduced new techniques and \nconstructions, and later the English designer Geoffrey D. As an interior designer,  \nKho Liang le made his name with his design for Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the \n1960’s. His work reflects purity, warmth and freedom. \nGeoffrey D. Harcourt RDI (1935, London, England) trained at the Royal College of Art \nin London. In 1962, he designed his first series of small office fauteuils for Artifort.  \nHis designs introduced Artifort to the international market for contract design. In the \nbeginning, Harcourt designed mostly seats for reception areas. His first design for \nArtifort, the 042 series, was an immediate international success. His philosophy is that \nthe chair should focus on the person and not the other way around.
