After all, it is only a chair. Four legs, a seat, and a back. That's all. But of how many objects is it possible to say that they are at one with their own essence? That fit completely with their identity and their purpose. In its most basic, archetypal form, we would expect to find it inscribed on a stone wall, along with an arrow, a hand, a gazelle. It is therefore more than an object, it is a concept. In other words, it is the chair. Made to be sat upon, and to be everywhere. Perfect just as it is.
A design by Piero Lissoni that completely embodies Cassina’s values. Formal austerity and flexibility of use. From domestic settings to work spaces. From individual to contract dimensions. The TreunoTre chair is adaptable and comfortable in every context. Functional and stackable, the chair is the result of a perfect union between the designer and manufacturer. An affinity of purpose that can be seen in the careful selection of materials, the attention to detail and the manufacturing excellence. TreunoTre’s frame is created from steel tubing with a glossy chrome or a black or white opaque lacquered finish; it has self-levelling feet. The seat padding is made from expanded polyurethane. The upholstery, made from cord and pigmented saddle leather and bound together with invisible stitching, covers the frame and closes with a zip. The fabric is available in eight colours: ecru, black, pearl grey, burgundy, blue, ultramarine, red and chestnut brown. The saddle leather is available in three tones: black, brown, natural.
