and interpretation of the elements
that make up the classic bookcase
with sides and shelves. An icon
of design but also an authentic
structural invention in which
the diagonal braces become
loadbearing elements of support
for the shelves and allow the side
pieces to be eliminated entirely.
The folding structure, that can also
be used as a room divider, focuses
attention on the hinges and on its
ability to support six shelves. The
elegant, essential aesthetic, user-
friendly and beyond the bounds of
time have made it an unmistakable
icon since 1977, imitated by
many as an example of simplified
functionality through the interplay

libreria a fianchi e ripiani. Un’icona
del design ma anche una vera e
propria invenzione costruttiva, in
cui le diagonali di controventatura
diventano soggetti portanti ed
elemento di sostegno per i ripiani
consentendo l’eliminazione dei
fianchi. La sua struttura pieghevole,
utilizzabile anche come divisorio,
conferisce un ruolo centrale alle
cerniere e sorregge sei ripiani.
L’estetica elegante e primaria,
fuori dal tempo e di facile lettura, la

classique avec flancs et étagères.
Une icône du design ainsi qu’une
authentique invention sur le plan de
la construction où les diagonales de
contreventement deviennent des
éléments porteurs et de soutien
pour les étagères, permettant ainsi
l’élimination des flancs. Sa structure
pliante, pouvant également servir
de séparateur, donne un rôle central
aux charnières et supporte six
étagères. L’esthétique élégante
et minimaliste, intemporelle et
accessible en fait une icône
incontestée depuis 1977, maintes
fois imitée comme exemple de
fonction simplifiée grâce au jeu

Seitenelementen und Regalen
entworfen wurde. Eine Designikone,
aber auch eine echte bauliche
Erfindung, bei der die diagonalen
Verstrebungen zu tragenden und
stützenden Elementen für die
Regalböden werden und damit
die Seitenelemente eliminieren.
Seine Klappstruktur, die auch als
Trennwand verwendet werden
kann, verleiht den Scharnieren
eine zentrale Rolle und trägt sechs
Regalböden. Die elegante, primäre
Ästhetik, die zeitlos und einfach
zu interpretieren ist, macht dieses
Regal seit 1977 zur unbestrittenen
Ikone, die mehrmals als Beispiel
für eine, über das Spiel der Formen
vereinfachte Funktion imitiert
wurde. Ideal zur Einrichtung
