LC17 Portemanteau
Il Portemanteau viene sviluppato per la prima volta per il Cabanon,
la casa che Le Corbusier realizzò nel 1951 in Costa Azzurra come
regalo di compleanno per la moglie Yvonne. La riedizione di Cassina
riprende il modello del 1957, ideato per le Unités de Camping,
adiacenti al Cabanon stesso. In accordo con la policromia di questi
spazi minimali, caratterizzati dal comfort di una cabina da crociera,
anche l’appendiabiti è proposto nella versione colorata. La struttura è
costituita da elementi in massello di rovere simili a funghi, collocati ad
altezze differenti in base al sistema di calcolo Modulor.
Der Portemanteau wird zum ersten Mal für den Cabanon
entwickelt, das Haus, das Le Corbusier 1951 an der Cote d’Azur als
Geburtstagsgeschenk für seine Frau Yvonne baute. Die Neuauflage
von Cassina übernimmt das Modell aus dem Jahre 1957, das für
die Unités de Camping neben dem Cabanon ausgearbeitet wurde.
Gemäß der Vielfarbigkeit dieser minimalistischen Räume, die durch
den Komfort einer Kabine auf einem Kreuzfahrtschiff gekennzeichnet
sind, wird auch die Wandgarderobe in der bunten Version angeboten.
Die Struktur besteht aus pilzähnlichen Elementen aus Massiveiche,
die auf unterschiedlichen Höhen ausgehend vom Modulor-
Berechnungssystem angebracht sind.
This coat-rack was originally created by Le Corbusier for the
Cabanon, a summer-house on the Cote d’Azur that he designed
in 1951 as a birthday present for Yvonne, his wife. This re-issue by
Cassina is based on the 1957 version, which had been made for the
Unités de Camping, which was next to the Cabanon. In line with the
bright colours used for these minimal spaces, keyed on the compact
comfort offered by a cruise-ship cabin, the coat-rack too was multi-
hued. The base is made of oak, while the hooks are mushroom-
shaped, and are placed at varying heights, based on the criteria
established in the Modulor.

réédition de Cassina reprend le modèle de 1957, conçu pour les Unités
de Camping, adjacentes au Cabanon lui-même. S’accordant avec la
polychromie de ces espaces minimalistes évoquant le confort d'une
cabine de croisière, le Portemanteau est lui aussi proposé dans sa
version colorée. La structure se compose d'éléments en chêne massif
similaires à des champignons, placés à différentes hauteurs selon le
système de calcul Modulor.
