A partire dal 1928, Charlotte Perriand progetta la serie di tavoli
en forme libre per il suo Atelier a Montparnasse. Le linee prive di
spigoli, arrotondate e asimmetriche, comunicano una nuova eleganza
fuori dagli schemi e il bisogno di un design che non s’impone
sull’utilizzatore, ma lo lascia libero di percorrerne a piacimento le
forme. Questa “scrivania dalla forma libera”, innovativo per l’anno in cui
vide la luce, il 1952, è riproposto da Cassina con la sua eleganza senza
tempo dettata dalle forme morbide e dal calore del legno.
Starting in 1928, Charlotte Perriand designed a series of free-form
tables for her studio in Montparnasse. With no sharp corners, the
rounded and asymmetrical shapes communicate a pioneering
elegance and the need for a design that does not dictate to the users
but allows them the freedom to negotiate its shape at will. Innovative
for the year of its debut in 1952, this “free-form desk”, re-edited by
Cassina, conveys its timeless elegance through soft shapes and the
warmth of the wood.
Ab 1928 entwarf Charlotte Perriand die Serie "en forme libre"
mit verschiedenen Tischen für ihr Atelier in Montparnasse. Die
abgerundeten und asymmetrischen Linien ohne Ecken und Kanten
bringen eine neue Eleganz zum Ausdruck, die von althergebrachten
Mustern abweicht, und den Wunsch eines Designs, das sich dem
Benutzer nicht aufzwingt, sondern ihm die Freiheit lässt, die Formen
ganz nach Belieben zu erschließen. Dieser "Schreibtisch mit freier
Form" war sehr innovativ für das Jahr 1952, in dem es entworfen
wurde, und wird jetzt von Cassina mit seiner zeitlosen Eleganz neu
aufgelegt, die von den weichen Formen und der Wärme des Holzes
geprägt ist.

arrondies et asymétriques, communiquent une nouvelle élégance hors
des sentiers battus et le besoin d'un design qui ne s'impose pas à
l'utilisateur, mais le laisse libre d'en explorer les formes à volonté. Ce
« bureau en forme libre », novateur pour l'année de sa création – 1952
– est réédité par Cassina avec son élégance intemporelle dictée par
les formes douces et la chaleur du bois.
