CHE DÀ FORMA
Lòbia è una collezione di tappeti ispirata a dei ricordi di luce e forme
architettoniche catturate durante l’esplorazione di luoghi Mediterranei.
L’osservazione del comportamento della luce in relazione al tempo e allo
spazio è il punto di partenza di questa serie, che prende forma in prodotti tessili
tangibili e dal forte carattere scultoreo.
La luce modifica l’anatomia dell’architettura, ne cambia le tonalità con il passare
delle ore e le ombre generano nuovi grafismi dando molteplici sfaccettature
visive al medesimo soggetto.
La sintesi di monumenti e facciate di edifici si traduce in uno schema di curve
e rette, dove il sistema di linee incavate dà un ordine alle superfici in rilievo.
L’abbinamento di filati e tecniche differenti dona all’insieme un ricco aspetto
tattile dove le diverse altezze del vello accostate ai gradienti creano un effetto
di profondità che dona volume ad un prodotto solitamente bidimensionale.
Nel suo cromatismo, ogni tappeto suggerisce un preciso momento di luce,
catturando i toni pallidi dell’alba, brillanti e vividi del mezzogiorno o i più caldi,
pieni e cupi che avvolgono l’ambiente all’imbrunire.
Lòbia collection embodies memories of light and architectural shapes captured
while exploring Mediterranean lands.
The observation of the changing of light in relation with time and space is the
starting point of the carpet series, taking shape in tangible textile objects with a
strong sculptural look.
Light changes the anatomy of architecture, it modifies its tones as the hours pass
by, and shadows draw new graphism giving the subject different aesthetics.
Facades and buildings are synthesised in a scheme of lines and curves, where
engraved lines give order to the surfaces in relief.
Alternated tufting techniques and fibers mixes give to the series a rich tactile appeal
where fades play and different height blocks create a soft volumetric and depth
effect to a product usually bidimensional.
Each carpet represents a tone of light, capturing sunrise pale glows, bright and vivid
ones of the midday light, and warm darker tones of the sundown.
