It has an air of regal elegance. In this district of historic
buildings, handmade products and small shops - which
invade the streets with the scent of fragrant bread and
freshly baked pastries - it is a matter of a few steps to
move from the consulates of numerous countries to the
high fashion shops of Kensington High Street. Here there
is a well-mannered and elegant atmosphere, where the
attention to detail is increasingly surprising the closer you
look. The wealth of the neighbourhood is evident in the
architecture, but also in the natural beauty of Kensington
Gardens, the lungs of London. Every day, tourists and
inhabitants mingle in visits to Kensington Palace and to
the numerous museums in the area. A symbol of London’s
aristocracy, this district is the location of some of the most
beautiful homes in the British capital. One of these homes
was furnished with particular attention to combining
different materials. Veneer and padding, closer to classic
taste, make way for the use of leather, decisively more
edgy and contemporary. The choice of colours combines
light and dark colours in their less hard and sharp version,
providing a pleasant encounter between opposites. Wavy
profiles move the shapes of the various elements, inspired
by early Twentieth century design. Space and time mix,
defining a new concept of life in Twenty-first century London.
