Patchwork Oval Hemisphere is an object, a shape, an ambiguous volume. Its functional definition is deliberately absent. Its semantics can imply it to be a table, a bench, a sculpture... Created from a patchwork of rough wooden pieces - both old and new - combined randomly by hand to a massive block that is sent to a digitally controlled machine to carve the computer generated three dimensional form. Hand made, machine made and computer made. Made with massive American walnut and Poplar core. Each produced item is unique. Produced in a numbered series.
