Questo edificio, progettato nel 1993 dal famoso
architetto britannico Norman Foster, sorge di
fronte al tempio romano della Masion Carrèe, da
cui prende il nome. La struttura, realizzata in vetro,
acciaio e cemento, ospita sia un museo d’arte
contemporanea sia una biblioteca multimediale,
contribuendo al progetto di promozione e
diffusione dell’arte contemporanea in tutta la
regione del Mediterraneo.
This building, designed in 1993 by the famous
British architect Norman Foster, is located opposite
the Maison Carrée Roman Temple, from which it
takes its name. The building, made of glass, steel
and concrete, hosts a contemporary art museum
and a multimedia library, thus contributing to the
project of promotion and spread of contemporary
art in the whole Mediterranean region.
