Per il design della Twist si è partiti dall’idea di creare un oggetto di grande
impatto e gusto estetico. L’eleganza che nasce da un tratto delicato e moderno è
la caratteristica distintiva della collezione”.
Afferma lo studio di design Castello Lagravinese, ideatore della poltrona e divano
Twist: “Questo progetto è nato in modo del tutto casuale, mentre guardavamo
la vetrina di un negozio di scarpe nel lounge di un aeroporto: sapendo che
potevamo contare sull’esperienza di Cantori e sulla perizia dei suoi artigiani
nella lavorazione del ferro, abbiamo “vestito” la struttura metallica del divano
e della poltrona con fasce di nabuk intrecciato, creando così un chiaroscuro
davvero particolare, molto difficile da imitare.
“For the design of Twist armchairs, we started from the idea of creating an object
with great aesthetic impact and value. An elegance deriving from delicate yet
modern lines is the distinctive feature of this collection. This is particularly
significant nowadays, since we are oriented more than ever towards foreign
markets.” The design studio Castello Lagravinese, creator of the Twist armchair
and sofa, further explains that: “This project was born in a completely casual
way, while we were looking at the window of a shoe shop in an airport lounge:
we knew that we could count on Cantori’s thirty-year experience, and on the
skill of its artisans working with iron. So, we “dressed” the metal structure of
the sofa and the armchair with woven nubuck bands, thus creating a very
particular chiaroscuro, impossible to imitate.
