Terrazzo
Per il tappeto Terrazzo, Calligaris si è ispirata all’iconica pavimentazione
in graniglia di marmo che deve la sua fama all’architettura veneziana del
Quattrocento. Realizzato a macchina con una particolare lavorazione che richiama
i tappeti fatti a mano, rilegge il sorprendente effetto visivo che caratterizza questo
tipo di pavimentazione attraverso il filato.
For the Terrazzo rug, Calligaris drew inspiration from the iconic marble terrazzo
flooring that owes its fame to Venetian architecture of the 15th century. Made by
machine with a special detail work that recalls handmade rugs, through the yarn it
reinterprets the amazing visual efect that characterizes this type of flooring.
