LED MODULES
The vast majority of our lights use LED modules.
Their unrivalled efficiency coupled with a lifespan
of 30,000 to 50,000 operating hours makes them one
of the most popular light sources today. Moreover,
they can be modified by the manufacturer to meet
our precise requirements.
The development process begins with selecting
the right printed circuit board (PCB) material, which
must comply with important industry standards,
including fire safety. Before deciding which type
and brand of LED modules to use, we define
their key performance parameters, such as size,
wattage, luminous flux, colour temperature,
and, last but not least, colour rendering index (Ra),
since it directly impacts how naturally colours will
appear under the light. To ensure superior colour
accuracy (Ra 90–95), we source LED chips
only from world-leading brands such as Samsung,
Lumileds, and Cree. Local manufacturers in the Czech
Republic then use these chips to build the exclusive
LED modules that go into our lights.
Each LED module and its constituent components
is evaluated as part of the rigorous certification
process for our lights, which is why we only partner
with suppliers who uphold strict quality standards
and provide expert guidance right from the earliest
stages of development.
To further enhance the functional beauty
of our handblown glass designs, we offer
a tunable-white LED module that gives users control
over both colour temperature and brightness,
allowing adjustment of the lighting ambience
to better suit their mood or activity.
