The Nidi design project was born in 2013. Nidi's history is tied to that of a longstanding company based in the northern Italian province of Treviso: Battistella, a leading name in furniture since 1953. Finding the right name for the company was a no-brainer: this word – which means nest in Italian, describing a cosy, protected place for rearing young – pretty much sums up the sense of the project.
The Nidi furniture designed for the world of children and teenagers, conceived with a conscious approach to design and to the quality of the different materials. The company pictures each bedroom as a story, where colours take their inspiration from nature, a story punctuated by complements, accessories, wallpaper, fabrics and stickers that all add character and personality to the narrative.
Nidi offers a collection that will grow with kids and allow teenagers to cultivate their sensibilities, dreams and ambitions. The flexible, modular, multifunctional form of the units makes them perfect for producing personalized configurations that can be rearranged as time passes, allowing the occupants to organize their rooms at will, accommodating their individual needs and passions.
Nidi beds, wardrobes, bookcases and storage units, desks, accessories and complements have been designed with care and attention to detail and feature regular geometric shapes and an extensive colour palette. Upholstered items come in an extensive range of fabrics and stitching options.
Nidi takes quality and safety very seriously. The company makes all their furniture in Italy to ensure each space is the best possible place for kids to grow.
