Alias’ story began in 1979 with Giandomenico Belotti’s “spaghetti chair”, a chair which was one of Alias’ first creations to become part of the MoMA collection in New York.

Alias seeks to minimise environmental impact through policies involving every phase of its operations. Its environmental commitment is demonstrated by its continuous research into ecological solutions, such as the development of Mater-Bi eco-packaging for the norma chair designed by Michele De Lucchi. "Zero Mileage" production contributes to the protection of the environment: all Alias products are manufactured in Italy at supplier plants situated within a 50 km radius from the facilities of Grumello del Monte and Motta di Livenza.

All Alias products, with their highly expressive minimal style, offer solutions to the various requirements of residential, contract and outdoor applications. Public spaces used as waiting areas, or exhibition centres, auditoriums, conference or meeting rooms, working offices, editorial departments, archives, libraries, places of worship, study rooms, sports facilities or theatres, retail outlets, exclusive restaurants and bars, areas dedicated to hospitality and wellbeing, nightclubs and fashion spots, collective and community spaces, venues used for fashionable events and parties: these are just some of the wide range of settings where Alias furniture can be used, with style and discretion, guaranteeing exceptional functionality and revealing characteristics that are immediately recognisable, anywhere.
