TAKARA
by William Brand
An archetype, devoid of frivolity. So pure, that adding a simple
candle is enough to evoke a sensation of poignant beauty.

TAKARA
sculptured by William Brand
On a windswept beach, an almost entirely
covered
object
was
noticed.
Once
unearthed, it was brought home purely
for the sake of its beauty. After adding
a candle, it took on another meaning:
a sculpture of light.
The ‘Takara’, Japanese for treasure, was
uncovered in the hands of William Brand.
It carries within her a rejection of shallow
frivolity, and the embrace of purity.
In line with the same thoughts, an artisanal
table was created out of wood and casted
bronze.
