Bend-e Wood adopts the essential forms of the Bend-e bed
and reinterprets them in an even more contemporary way, high-
lighting the strength of ancient craftsmanship, now entirely
replaced by machines, which find new applications between design
and tradition. In Bend-e Wood, the headboard and footboard
are made of wood, shaped into a single body that extends along
the entire structure of the bed and rests on wrought iron legs.
Zanellato/Bortotto also took care of the finishes, selecting natural
pigments that are applied manually to the wood structure and
iron parts and then fixed with a special beeswax, to once again
enhance respect for the territory.

Bend-e Wood prende le forme essenziali del letto Bend-e e le ripropone in chiave ancora più contemporanea,
mettendo in luce la forza di antiche lavorazioni artigianali, oggi ormai interamente sostituite dalle macchine, che
trovano nuove applicazioni tra design e tradizione. In Bend-e wood testiera e pediera sono realizzate in legno,
modellate in un unico corpo che si estende lungo l’intera struttura del letto e si appoggia su gambe in ferro
forgiato. Lo studio Zanellato/Bortotto ha curato anche le finiture, selezionando dei pigmenti naturali che vengono
applicati manualmente alla struttura in legno e alle parti in ferro e successivamente fissati con un’apposita
cera d’api, per esaltare ancora una volta il rispetto per il territorio.
