Da quasi ottant’anni la storia di Berti è scandita dal legno,
materia prima assoluta della sua arte, frutto spontaneo della
natura che da sempre accompagna lo spirito eclettico e
innovatore delle sue creazioni.
1910
Cesare Berti nasce a Villa del Conte, in provincia di Padova.
Appena dodicenne è già al lavoro come apprendista
falegname. Nel 1929 si mette in proprio e avvia un piccolo
laboratorio di falegnameria.
1950
Cesare Berti trasferisce la propria attività in una nuova sede,
più ampia. Acquista una segatronchi e per qualche tempo si
orienta al commercio di legnami.
1958
Stagione di grande sviluppo edilizio: viene fondata “IN.PAR.
Industria Parchetti”, azienda specializzata nella produzione e
nella posa di pavimenti in legno. Presto Cesare deve cercare
nuove fonti di approvvigionamento: per primo dà inizio
all’importazione di legname dall’Ungheria.
1971
La nuova generazione si fa avanti. I figli di Cesare, Giancarlo
e Silvano, fondano assieme al padre la “P.B. Parchettificio
Berti”, che conta fin dall’inizio oltre 100 dipendenti. È la prima
azienda nel settore ad adottare linee computerizzate per la
scelta del parquet.
1980
Core business: pavimenti a disegno geometrico, ispirati alle
antiche ville venete o altri edifici artistici. Poi, grazie alla
tecnica di taglio al laser, inizia la produzione dei pavimenti
intarsiati.
1988
La ragione sociale dell’azienda viene modificata in “Berti
Pavimenti Legno”. L’apporto della moderna tecnologia laser
garantisce un taglio del massello molto preciso, senza limiti
di complessità: nascono opere di straordinario prestigio,
come alcune pavimentazioni del palazzo del Cremlino e la
fedele ricostruzione del pavimento del castello di Windsor.
Trattando la superficie del legno con un procedimento
brevettato, viene creato il parquet antichizzato:
nasce la linea “Antico”.
1994
Acquistata la Vepal S.a.s., affermata nel mercato italiano per
la produzione di pavimenti melaminici e di liste in legno di
grandi dimensioni.
2000/2004
Il mercato si orienta verso il prefinito: inizia un massiccio
cambiamento dei macchinari, con l’acquisto di 4 nuove linee
produttive. Nel 2002 parte la produzione del prefinito di
grandi dimensioni. Nel 2004, acquisto di 3 macchinari per il
parquet prefinito ad intarsio.
2012
Entra in funzione il nuovo impianto di verniciatura che utilizza
vernice ad acqua: una linea di 250 metri di lunghezza che
permette di realizzare la gamma completa di parquet Berti.
2015
Dall’inconfondibile stile Diesel Living e dal know-how firmato
Berti nasce una nuova partnership. Frutto della ricerca e
innovazione nella trasformazione e trattamento dei materiali
applicata a una collezione di pavimenti in legno, dove vari
formati e finiture trasformano ogni ambiente in uno spazio
100% Diesel.
tHe HIstory oF tHe FIrM For almost eighty years the
wood, the absolute raw material of its art, marks the history
of Berti. A natural product that goes with the eclectic and
innovator feel of its creations all along.
Cesare Berti was born in Villa del Conte, in the Padua province.
When he was only twelve he was already at work as an
apprentice carpenter. In 1929, he branched out on his own and
started a small carpentry workshop.
Cesare Berti moved his business to a new location, a bigger
one. He purchased a sawmill and for some time he focused on
the timber trade.
Season of great building development: Cesare Berti established
the “IN.PAR. Industria Parchetti”, a company specialized in the
manufacturing and installation of wooden floors. Soon Cesare
has to look for new supplying sources of raw material: as a
start, he begins the import of wood from Hungary.
The new generation steps forward. Cesare Berti and the sons
Giancarlo and Silvano established the “P.B. Parchettificio
Berti”, which since the beginning counts over 100 employees
and it is the first company in the wood industry to employ the
computerized lines for the choice of the parquet.
Core Business: floors with geometrical patterns inspired by
the floorings of the antique mansion houses of the Veneto
region and by other artistic buildings. Afterwords, thanks
to employement of the laser cut technique it begins the
manifacturing of innovative inlaid floors.
The name of the company was changed to “Berti Pavimenti
Legno”. The employment of the modern laser technology
ensures a very precise heartwood cut, without limits to
complexity: it starts the creation of works of extraordinary
prestige, as some floors of the Kremlin Palace and the accurate
reconstruction of the floor at the Windsor Castle. An exclusive
new process was employed, enabling the production of
parquet with an aged look: the “Antique” line was created.
Vepal S.a.s. was acquired. A company that estabilished itself in
the Italian market for the manifacturing of melamine-finished
floors and of big size flooring boards.
The market takes up toward the prefinished floor: begins a
changeover of the machineries, with the purchase of four new
manufacturing lines. In 2002, it begins the production of the
big size prefinished. In 2004 three new machineries for the
parquet prefinished inlaid work were purchased.
The new water based varnishing system starts working: it’s
a 250 meter long lacquering line that allows to produce the
whole range of Berti parquet flooring.
From the mix of the unique Dieel Living touch and Berti’s
know-how a new partnership is born. It’s a result of the
research and the innovation on the transformation and
treatment of materials applied on a collection of wooden floors,
where several layouts and finishings turn each location in a
100% Diesel space.
