Berti Pavimenti Legno utilizza un volume notevole di multistrato di Betulla per la
produzione dei pavimenti prefiniti. Proprio a salvaguardia dell’ambiente, a profondo
rispetto di madre natura da cui attinge costantemente, l’azienda ha scelto di aderire
ad una importante certificazione in materia di tutela ambientale: la certificazione
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).
FSC è una ONG internazionale, indipendente e senza scopo di lucro che si occupa
del sistema di certificazione per la gestione forestale sostenibile. Per “certificazione
della gestione forestale” si intende una procedura di verifica che garantisce al con-
sumatore che il prodotto è realizzato con materiale proveniente da foreste gestite
correttamente dal punto di vista ambientale, sociale ed economico. Tutti i prodotti
contrassegnati con il marchio FSC sono certificati come provenienti da foreste che
rispettano i Principi e Criteri di buona gestione forestale e dal mantenimento della
certificazione Chain of Custody.
L’applicazione dei principi contenuti nello schema di certificazione FSC attesta che
il Gruppo, utilizzando solo materie prime provenienti da foreste europee gestite in
maniera ecosostenibile, contribuisce alla salvaguardia degli ecosistemi forestali di
provenienza.

A DEEP RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. Berti Pavimenti Legno uses a consi-
derable quantity of multilayer Birch plywood for the production of the pre-finished
floors. It is indeed for the preservation of the environment, for a deep respect of
Mother-Nature which constantly provides the material, that the company has cho-
sen to select among its suppliers of birch plywood only the ones with the FSC certi-
fication (Forest Stewardship Council).
FSC is a no-profit organization of the Pan-European Forest Certification Council,
involved in the certification system for the sustainable forest management. All
the products marked with the FSC label, are certified as coming from forests that
respect the Principles and Criteria of proper forest management, and by the mainte-
nance of the ‘Chain of Custody’ Certification.
The “endorsement of forest certification” is an inspection procedure that allows a
company to issue a document proving that the forms of woodland management
meet particular requirements and criteria of environmental sustainability.
The application of the rules contained into the FSC certification scheme certifies that
the Group, using only raw materials coming from European forests managed in an
eco-sustainable way, gives a contribution to the safeguard of the forest ecosystems.
