About us and our luminaires
BEGA has been developing and producing high-quality luminaires for
virtually all areas of interior and exterior architecture for more than
75 years. During that time, products were created that have become
generic terms for countless luminaire types in the entire industry for
their design and branding.
For many years, glass created a fascination and drove the development
of indoor luminaires in general. We are still very proud of the fact that
we can rely on our own glass manufacture.
Today, we complement the traditional with translucent luminaire
elements made from a variety of materials. As always, light transmission
and directing features remain at the forefront of our developments.
LED technology offers us inexhaustible design freedom. Here as well,
our own premium standard module production has afforded us the
independence required for our work.
In our development process, our main focus has always been on our
products retaining their value for a long time to come. That is how we
have been able to save valuable resources with our responsible and
intelligent use of raw materials. The terms durability and sustainability
have been and will always be part of our company ethos.
As structural details, our luminaires are closely bound to architecture.
They are designed to be professional lighting tools for effective indoor
and outdoor illumination.
Our goal is to create durable assets that are designed to stand the test
