Structure in chromed or painted with microtexture finishing in grey metalised steel tube. Seat and back shell in white or pearl grey gas injected polypropylene or plywood varnished oak or wengue. Optional: grey or black integral armrests. Available: bench and desk side table in black compact. Chair, armchair and stools are stackable. When the Varius chair was about to reach its 25th birthday, the possibility occurred to me of designing a more economical and versatile version that would inherit some of its virtues; above all the ergonomics (which make the Varius a very comfortable chair) and its characteristic back-rest (a good deal more handsome than the numerous feeble imitations). Building on these virtues which I was not prepared to forego, I have been able to design a family of chairs that includes: an armless chair, a light arm-chair, a swivelling light arm-chair, a high stool and seating in rows. All the four-legged chairs are indefinitely stackable in very little space. The chair bodies may be made of wood or plastic. The gas injection of the plastic ones was a challenge which, once overcome, has enabled us to avoid all ribbing both in the back and under the seat.
