CONTRACT
Since 1972, we have approached the design
process through knowledge, proximity and
intuition, responding to the future needs of the
moment. Each stage of the process works
towards consistently creating responsibly
sourced products for people, the environment,
and our territory. For over 50 years, we have
collaborated with an extensive network of
manufacturers, industrialists and artisans located
less than 100km from our headquarters in
Barcelona, Spain.
Our commitment to local manufacturing has a
dual purpose: first, to reduce CO2 emissions
from transporting materials in the production
process; and second, to foster and support local
craftsmanship and the industrial ecosystem,
thus contributing to the preservation of
our cultural heritage and local community.
Furthermore, maintaining a close relationship
with our suppliers enriches the value chain and
traceability of our designs, allowing for greater
environmental transparency.
At BD, we believe in responsible production
that respects both the environment and the
communities we serve. We value this intimate
connection and its role in supporting the local
ecosystem.
