Designed by architect Alvaro Siza Vieira in 1972, the
Flamingo lamp is part of design history. Its mobility and
subtle structure beautifully fit into space with delicate
and dynamic functionality.
Alvaro Siza Vieira is one of the most modern and
influential Portuguese architects on the international
scene. For decades, he has presented a simple,
coherent and clear embrace of creativity and
contemporary design.
The Flamingo Lamp follows this clarity and is a design
reduced to its essentials. The halogen version was
introduced in 1985 and continues to produce a balance
of space and volume, sitting unimposingly regardless
of the environment. Functional as always. Its coherent
line and unembellished backbone produce a subtle
curve and intimate light. It dispenses with ornaments. It
is ungarnished and stripped-back, working coherently
within any space.
