Note di regia. Forme e linee.
Desidero parlare attraverso le linee, comunicare nel
linguaggio delle forme. Sono loro a interpretare la storia
che ho in mente. La spontaneità del gesto, una mano che
traccia un solco morbido, senza fermarsi. Seguo le linee
arrotondarsi e unirsi alla rasserenante quiete dei colori,
incurvarsi per accogliere, allargarsi per abbracciare. Gli
angoli si smussano come sotto l’operato del tempo o delle
ripetute azioni quotidiane: ci ritrovo confidenza e voglia di
fare, toccare, vivere. Scelgo profili fluidi, anelli, semicerchi,
e con loro evito gli spigoli, lascio che l’arredo accompagni
le azioni della persona rendendole allo stesso tempo più
naturali ed eleganti. E ancora: il passaggio dalla linea alla
forma, quell’agitazione reciproca che rende definitiva l’idea.
Il risultato è una concretezza armoniosa, raggiunta piega
dopo piega, curva dopo curva: è il lavoro di mani esperte e
ispirate che intrappolano la materia e le danno vita. Chi si
muoverà tra queste geometrie dolci, ne sono sicuro, si sentirà
protetto.
I want to speak through lines, to communicate in the
language of shapes. They interpret the story I have in
mind. A spontaneous gesture, a hand that traces a soft
groove without stopping. I follow the lines as they round
off and join the soothing stillness of colours, as they bend to
welcome and expand to embrace. Corners blur, as if under
the work of time or repeated daily actions: I find confidence
in them, and a desire to do, touch, and live. I choose fluid
profiles, rings, semicircles; I use them to avoid edges as I
let furniture accompany people’s actions, making them
more natural and elegant at the same time. And again: the
passage from line to shape, the mutual stirring that makes
the idea final. The result is a harmonic substantiality which
is reached fold after fold, curve after curve: it is the work
of expert and inspired hands that trap matter and give life
to it. Those who move among these sweet geometries, I am
sure, will feel protected.

You stop reading. Under the soles of your feet you feel
the thick yarn of a hand-knotted carpet; you walk
slowly, and with your hand you brush the leather
of a swivel chair that follows your movement for
a moment. A large table dominates the scene in the
adjacent room; you admire it under the light of a lamp
that looks like it is floating in the air. You go back to
the papers you still have with you, and go on reading.
