Fondato nel 1928, Le Royal Monceau è un albergo storico di
Parigi, situato nel cuore della capitale francese, a pochi passi
dagli Champs-Elysées e dall'Arco di Trionfo. Nel 2008 è stato
oggetto di una profonda ristrutturazione, curata dal celebre
architetto e designer Philippe Starck. Oggi l’hotel presenta
una suggestiva combinazione di elementi architettonici e
decorativi che rileggono il raffinato spirito parigino in chiave
contemporanea, all’insegna del lusso. Dedicato all’arte, Le
Royal Monceau ospita al suo interno una collezione privata
di oltre 300 opere, un cinema, una galleria d’arte e una
libreria. Le creazioni Barovier&Toso illuminano vari ambienti
dell’hotel, come la suite presidenziale Katara, caratterizzata da
un’atmosfera calda e accogliente, che ben sposa la delicata
eleganza dei lampadari Amsterdam. Sinuosi bracci in cristallo
veneziano terminano con rocchetti diamantati, realizzati
con la tecnica del rostrato, a sorreggere i paralumi bianchi,
artefici di una luce soffusa e avvolgente. Nella hall, invece,
ad accogliere i visitatori c’è un grande lampadario Nevada,a
tre piani, dalle linee più rigorose e grafiche, associate a
richiami alla tradizione muranese, come le vezzose gocce
pendenti in cristallo. È Saint Germain a chiudere il cerchio,
in una versione lampadario a due luci, punto focale del locale
destinato a Le Bar Long, concepito da Philippe Starck in
modo decisamente innovativo. Invece di presentare, infatti,
i classici tavolini, il bar si sviluppa intorno ad un unico tavolo,
stretto e lungo che si innesta al bancone, retroilluminato dal
lampadario Barovier&Toso, in una versione personalizzata
total red, ton sur ton rispetto alla nicchia che lo incornicia.

Founded in 1928, Le Royal Monceau is a historic hotel in
Paris, located in the heart of the French capital, just steps
from the Champs-Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe. In
2008, it underwent a profound renovation, curated by
the renowned architect and designer Philippe Starck.
Today, the hotel presents a captivating combination of
architectural and decorative elements that reinterpret the
refined Parisian spirit in a contemporary key, epitomizing
luxury. Dedicated to art, Le Royal Monceau houses a private
collection of over 300 works, a cinema, an art gallery, and
a bookstore. Barovier&Toso creations illuminate various
areas of the hotel, such as the Katara Presidential Suite,
characterized by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that
perfectly matches the delicate elegance of the Amsterdam
chandeliers. Sinous Venetian crystal arms end with
diamond-cut reels, crafted using the rostrato technique,
supporting white lampshades that create a soft and
enveloping light. In the lobby, visitors are greeted by a large
three-tiered Nevada chandelier, with more rigorous and
graphic lines, associated with Murano tradition elements
like the charming hanging crystal drops. Saint Germain
completes the circle, in a two-light chandelier version, the
focal point of Le Bar Long, conceived by Philippe Starck
in a decidedly innovative way. Instead of featuring the
classic tables, the bar revolves around a single, narrow,
and long table that connects to the counter, backlit by the
Barovier&Toso chandelier in a custom total red version,
matching the niche that frames it.
