Dove il quartiere storico di Singapore incontra il distretto più
moderno della città, sul lungomare di Marina Bay, sorge il
Fullerton Bay Hotel. Un tempo adibito ad ufficio postale,
l’edificio, in stile neoclassico, è originario del 1928. Rinnovato
di recente, ad opera dell’Arch. Lee Shee Koeng, ha mantenuto
la sua monumentale architettura palladiana e la sua storicità,
abbracciando al contempo un’idea di lusso contemporaneo.
Ben 400 le camere e le suite, progettate dagli architetti
Hirsch Bedner & Associates, in modo da offrire il massimo
dell’opulenza e dell’ospitalità asiatica. Fiore all’occhiello
dell’hotel, la Presidential Suite si sviluppa su 152mq ed è dotata
di un'ampia zona soggiorno e pranzo, salotto, sala giochi, studio
e camera da letto, con vista panoramica sul mare e sullo skyline
della città. Rivestita in pregiato legno di acero dorato con pannelli
murali in palissandro, marmo e sontuose decorazioni tessili, la
suite incontra anche l’eccellenza dell’arte vetraria muranese
con le creazioni Barovier&Toso. La zona salotto è incorniciata
da due lampade da tavolo Samurai, in versione bespoke
color caramello, statuarie presenze in cristallo veneziano dalla
silhouette costoluta. Il tavolo da pranzo invece è sormontato da
un raffinato lampadario Rotterdam color caramello, con paralumi
scuri, bracci curvati verso l’alto, fusto ogivale e rocchetti lavorati
con la tecnica del “rostrato”.

The Fullerton Bay Hotel
Where Singapore's historic district meets the city's most
modern area, along the Marina Bay waterfront, stands
the Fullerton Bay Hotel. Once serving as a post office,
this neoclassical building dates back to 1928. Recently
renovated by Architect Lee Shee Koeng, it has preserved its
monumental Palladian architecture and historical significance
while embracing a contemporary luxury concept. The hotel
boasts 400 rooms and suites, designed by Hirsch Bedner
& Associates, offering the pinnacle of opulence and Asian
hospitality. The highlight of the hotel is the Presidential
Suite, spanning 152 sqm and featuring a spacious living and
dining area, lounge, game room, study, and bedroom, with
panoramic views of the sea and city skyline. Clad in fine
golden maple wood with rosewood wall panels, marble, and
sumptuous textile decorations, the suite also showcases the
excellence of Murano glass art with Barovier&Toso creations.
The lounge area is framed by two bespoke caramel-colored
Samurai table lamps, stately Venetian crystal pieces with a
ribbed silhouette. The dining table is illuminated by a refined
caramel-colored Rotterdam chandelier, with dark shades,
upward-curving arms, an ogival stem, and bobbins crafted
using the "rostrato" technique.
